Reflection

Based on this CID project, our group has gained many lessons and morals from the aspects of the qualities that Tunku Abdul Rahman showed and the leadership that he has. We also learn from in process making the CID project itself. Each member will gives their reflection from this CID project.

REFLECTION

khairina - Based on Tunku Abdul Rahman's story, it teaches us to always try and not give up on something. Tunku Abdul Rahman also taught us always to be humble, respect the people around us and take care of our speech when talking to others. As a young person,  I was able to instill the spirit of patriotism in myself. This matter can contribute to the formation of a generation with high prudence and noble character. I also learned to build the value of understanding and unification between races in Malaysia.

Ayunni - What I learned from this CID project is that it is essential to have great teamwork. It is an opportunity to learn from others’ mistakes and not repeat those mistakes by myself. In my opinion, the leader should be able to organise the team so that the product or outcome can be achieved while the others can voice their suggestion and will be taken into consideration. I also learned that a good leader should have good judgement for the future and make a decision based on it so there will not be trouble to complete the task.

Auni- The lesson that I learned from this project is the importance of having an intelligent leader. A leader plays an important role in making decisions, so if wrong decisions are made, they will cause so much trouble. Tunku Abdul Rahman wisely managed the racial problems between Malays and Chinese in Malaysia during his administration. He even made a good decision by reducing conflicts and decided to withdraw Singapore from Malaysia. Without his brilliant choice, Malaysians wouldn’t get to enjoy such a peaceful life. In my life, I need to choose an intelligent leader or I am the one that is going to be an intelligent leader.

Husna - What I like about Tunku Abdul Rahman’s story is how his family background does not relate to his struggle in fostering unity and making Malaysia independent. Tunku was from a royal family but he did not use his background for people to choose him. He was selected to be the first prime minister not because of his family but because of the election by the people at that time. From that, I learned how to be an independent person by not putting problems on others' shoulders, instead of mine. Tunku also led the negotiations for the independence of Malaya and declared its independence from the British, without a drop of blood being spilled. I can say he is a clever man since we are still under British property, it is hard to ask for an agreement to make Malaysia under on his own without making people get hurt. So, what I learned from Tunku’s contributions, we can learn how to be independent and smart in handling matters.

Najwa - In conclusion, I now understand that as individuals, we must be kind and modest to every single person in this world based on everything I have learnt about Tunku. Even if they may occasionally treat us harshly, we must constantly maintain our composure with them. Then I also came to understand how important it is for us to have effective communication abilities. This demonstrates how Tunku always interacted with people using good language and etiquette, which allowed him to resolve all kinds of challenges and problems. Finally, I must admit that I have a really positive image of him because he always spreads positive energy and always finds a suitable solution to any issue.

Isma - This assignment taught me how crucial it is for us to be committed to completing the work. For instance, Tunku Abdul Rahman made every effort to free his country even though he had no idea what despair was. The next step is to treat everyone well. For instance, tunku Abdul Rahman gained a lot of new acquaintances when he resumed his studies at Cambridge University. Tunku opposes prejudice and works tirelessly to promote human rights for all.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, we have all discovered the importance of treating others with respect, regardless of whether they are family or not. Additionally, we must put a lot of effort into all we accomplish and never give up lightly. The importance of being kind to one's neighbors in order to establish national unity is something else we can learn. Finally, I hope that everyone will strive to emulate Tunku's excellent character.
